Water is pumped through K-Pipe to a series of pods positioned across the irrigated area, each pod protecting and stabilising a sprinkler while the line is towed between sets. A complete setup includes the water source and pump, mainline or hydrants, K-Pipe sized for flow and run length, pods and sprinklers selected for the application, fittings and end assemblies, and a shifting plan. The components have to be compatible: adding pods or extending pipe without checking the hydraulics drops pressure and changes sprinkler performance down the whole line.
K-Line suits irregular areas, smaller blocks, slopes and anywhere portable low-pressure irrigation is an operational advantage, with configurations available for agricultural and selected effluent uses. Suitability comes down to terrain, soil intake, water availability, wind, stock movement and how often the line can realistically be shifted, which is exactly what our assessment covers.
A proper K-Line design works through the irrigated area and shape, slope and access, water source and available flow, pump performance and pressure at the connection, the intended application, the preferred set time and shifting routine, and any existing components worth reusing.
