Central Otago’s landscape is breathtakingly beautiful and full of extremes. It’s New Zealand’s most inland region, featuring snow-capped mountains, deep gorges and pastoral land which spans tussock valleys and river plains.

The freezing cold winters and scorching hot summer days help produce some of our finest export products – superfine merino wool, delicious apricots, cherries and apples, and internationally-renowned pinot noir.

Gold mining and farming were the historic backbone of our local economy and both industries were governed by the availability and need for water. Man-made water race channels and canals still crisscross their way across the region today, and the demand for irrigation is always present here.

Our main WaterForce regional branch is in Cromwell and we have a satellite branch in Omarama. From these two locations we help clients across many different sectors to design and install irrigation systems to meet their specific needs.

With our expertise and leading range of products, we help farmers use water as efficiently as possible. This, along with effective monitoring, will allow you to maintain your current consents and historic water use rights beyond 2021.

Closer to regional townships, we help lifestyle block owners and those in rural subdivisions with their pumping, reticulation, water treatment and irrigation needs (including Hunter pop-up sprinklers).

Central Otago’s natural beauty is a huge tourist drawcard, generating considerable economic growth each year. This creates opportunities for continual commercial, residential, municipal and recreational developments. WaterForce can certainly help with any projects which require irrigation, pumping or reticulation solutions.

Our retail and trade store on Rogers St, Cromwell, stocks a comprehensive range of pipelines, pumps, fittings and other key irrigation products. If there’s something you need which we don’t immediately have to hand, we can order it in for you within a day or two.

We pride ourselves on our after-sales service and support. Our experienced field technicians are on call 24/7 and can diagnose any problems and get you up and running again as quickly as possible.

In total we have 21 committed, highly-trained and enthusiastic staff based here in Central Otago. We help clients stretching from the Mackenzie Basin in the north across to Middlemarch in the east, Queenstown in the west, and Balclutha in the south.
